Building Receptive Group Fields for Innovation

The creative group process of innovation is the art and science of bringing forth SOMETHING out of NOTHING.NOTHING is an unmanifested reality that needs the creative process for it to become SOMEHTHING. An IDEA begins as a NO THING and when translated into a design by the imagination and the concrete mind, it can then be manufactured and presented to the world as SOME THING. If we believe that for every problem and challenge in the world there is a solution, then the innovative group process can play a valuable role by attracting and capturing solutions (in the form of Living Ideas) and translating them into tangible and useful products and services that serve the needs of society.

5 Stages of Group Life

The initial phase of energizing the upper aspect of the Vertical alignment – attracting and connecting the group to the vision and designated purpose contained within the original inspriational ‘seed idea’ The focus on the lower aspect of the Vertical alignment to connect “spriti and matter” and activate the vision by clearly naming the ‘service offerings’ and by declaring the individual and group commitments required to meet these deliverables.

The Dynamics of Renewal

In order that organizational renewal can occur, two factors need to be in play at all times. These are:
• A compelling vision of the future
• An honest assessment of current reality
The gap between where the group wishes to be (vision) and where it finds itself today (current reality) causes a state of creative tension. As the necessary choices for positive change are made and committed to by the group, this dynamic of ‘creative tension’ is harnessed and can be utilized to help move thing forward to help realize the vision.

Dynamics of Organizational Health

An airplane is a collection of integrated parts and systems traveling with structural integrity and velocity towards a chosen destination to fulfill a specific mission for the good of others propelled by powerful engines and guided by sophisticated navigational aids. An organization is a collection of diverse people joined together by a shared purpose and a commitment to work together who are journeying towards a preferred future to fulfill a specific mission for the good of others –propelled by an inspiring vision and guided by common values, experience, reliable processes and an inherent sense of what constitutes the right course.

The Group

With the word “group” we can understand various different things: certainly the first meaning that emerges is that of something that goes beyond an individual unit to include more people. But we can add another, which is that of a set of individuals connected to each other by a common purpose. And there is another one: more individuals with a common purpose, but also aware of wanting to give life, together, to a specific and particular collective experience that can lead, step by step, to the achievement of that goal. In fact, the first definition would be attributable more to a collection of people – to a more or less small or large crowd – than specifically to a group. An The actual group only begins when a number of people come together to pursue a common goal together.

The Group as an Evolutionary Possibility

Nowadays, from any perspective we look at the path of inner growth, we always meet the group as a space for development and as an instrument for expanding consciousness. Whatever theme we deal with, on whatever project we share, we always talk about the group. This is the real great theme that characterizes our times and that differentiates today’s inner research from that of the past. Today everything happens in a group; this fact can be explained through several factors:
– The group is the fundamental note of the Aquarian era
– The group can multiply forces and resources and therefore produce much more substantial effects and accelerate any development
– The group allows Those who guide us to save energy by creating an amplified transmission which in turn
– Through the group allows everyone, even those who would have difficulty walking a path of self-development on their own, to proceed and accelerate their evolution

The Heavens as the Guide

The “Star” work naturally leads us to look up to the Sky to look at the stars and planets in the space in which our Planet is immersed. This makes us immediately aware that we are part of a vast
macrocosm. How can we not ask ourselves the question of how our Star as a microcosm relates to this macrocosm? What are the signs of Heaven that can guide us on the spiral of evolution? How can we cooperate with Heaven to make our contribution to the evolution of Humanity and the Earth? “Astrosophy” or the “Wisdom of the Stars”, aims to understand and interpret the meaning of what the Sky and the planets express according to the Law of Correspondence: “As Above, so below; as below so Above”. It also makes us understand that the SPACE is a constantly evolving living entity. Studying the harmony of the solar system, the type of energy that the planets spread, the rhythm with which they move around the Sun and relate to each other, gives us valuable information and insights for the Star work. Since this is a very broad theme, it is possible to touch on only a few themes in this booklet. The explanations that follow are therefore intended to be brief notes to give a basic idea of the opportunity that the knowledge of the Heavens represents for the work as a Star Group.

The Structure and Growth of a Group

With a group there are – we could say paradoxically – as many different definitions as there are human groups. We are therefore called to mark the boundaries of the type of group we want to deal
with here and to define its specific characteristics. From our perspective, a group is an ensemble of people that is united by an interest in the common ideal of existential improvement, both in terms of their individual consciousness and the wider one that involves other human beings and the collective life. It deals therefore with a group that finds the motivation of its existence in awork in of service of human to evolution. This type of group must meet a first requirement: that the inner orientation is unanimous and freely chosen by all participants. Where this requirement is fulfilled – and becomes the starting point towards the realization of common objectives – we witness the birth of a real “entity”. It is a new phenomenal reality, autonomous and endowed with its intrinsic vitality, which derives from the contributions of commitment and energy made available by the people who are part of it.

The Star Work

Let’s now see how the work of the group that chooses to adopt the model of the six-pointed star (and seven vertices) as a tool takes place. A fundamental premise is that the participants have a certain knowledge of the 7 Rays and their qualities, and that they have sufficiently explored themselves in the light of this typological characterization. It is not necessary to know precisely ones own structure based on the Rays, but at the very least to have recognized in ones self the presence of certain characteristics that lean toward one Ray rather than another. Such self-perception allows the person to easily align themselves to the qualities that each function requires.

The Fires of Group Work

Everywhere today there are groups of people forming to accomplish some particular aim or other. In every case, certain laws of group endeavor begin to take their toll on the group’s ability to function. This process will continue until the group expires without fulfilling its work, or until it achieves its goals. When a group of people decides to begin a project or endeavor intended to serve the needs of the general populace or to assist in an experiment which will result in useful information for the service of humanity, that group is usually completely unaware of the disciplines which will be demanded of those involved. It is believed that the beneficial purpose, itself, should be enough to cause all to go well and to attract all needed assistance toward its achievement. A group of volunteers Founded and Staffed The Robert Muller School in Arlington, TX, for sixteen years, beginning in 1980. The School became fully accredited from birth through high-school as an alternative to public education. It was the first School to implement Robert Muller’s world-renowned World Core curriculum. In observing the process of this long experiment, a pattern of specific group “tests” or, what came to be called “fires” became apparent. Recognition of these fires can be useful for any group attempting to set in motion activity to achieve a specific goal of service.
